We made this last night without the sake, we substituted vegan butter for butter. Very funny we found your recipe this morning. I will have to try with Sake.

Erik, alternatively you may use Mirin (1 1/2 tbsp) to replace sake if you like. Or even, sake (1tbsp) and sugar(1tsp). But, try with the normal butter(not Vegan Butter). I had tried with sake and sugar, it was amazing Yummy!! Especially, kids like most sweet dishes :)
